My opinion is that Si anodes are a long way off. Dahn says "light years away". So it appears you are not familiar with Dahn's work. His methods eliminate the need for long cycling tests. He also has written that some manufacturers release batteries into the market "blindly", i.e. without knowing how they behave in the long term. Using spherical graphite from another source doesn't mean you have to redo the tests as if you were modifying the chemistry. I prefer to believe the scientists and not the lab techs
