About half he cost of petrol for cars is government tax. How do the running costs differ if this tax is removed or will EVs be subject to a similar tax on their 'fuel' as I would expect. Has this been factored into the comparison. Or will this tax be taken from somewhere else if EVs become popular. Perhaps more tax on retirees and banks - they seem to be an easy touch.
