Samsung tried to mess with their galaxy tablet battery few years ago; that's exactly what they did reduce the cobalt drastically causing a bunch of them to explode few on airplanes some on the ground causing at least one fatality; they ended up with a big time egg on their face and got back to square one. Apple is on the hunt for long term cobalt supply; they know a thing or two about batteries.
