    the government will not be a part of this. They're incompetent and will continue to bicker amongst themselves while the private sector will assume control.

    The oil giants understand that 'peak oil' is near and diversification into supporting electrification via charging stations will ensure continued revenue streams. Assume a charge takes 30 minutes. That's 30 minutes where a party remains on premises and is susceptible to marketing and purchases of goods and services. lol. This is a dream for not only the oil giants but also the Woolworths and Coles etc.

    As for breakdowns, you defeat your own argument. Electric vehicles are much more simple in design, have significantly less parts, have no breaks as the motor does the breaking for you. I hear reports of vehicles able to drive 1M miles with ease. Every way you look at it, electric vehicles provide an incentive to adopt them into the fleet.

    But yes, the Australian government will play little role here as the large corporates of the world will drive this revolution. lol. no pun intended.
