A lot of the things Musk said in that presentation re current semis was rubbish. Some regular semis are de rated to stop torque damage to the driveline and wheelspin. I can see a place for the EV semi on short haul route work with light weight applications. A standard try axle combination is heavier than the allowed gross weight for the EV truck and a b double is over 25 tons heavier.
With the advent of B Triples And pocket road trains the EV truck won't compete in long haul routes.
