Wan't that long ago that Muskwas bragging the Telsa cars won't depreciate & will in fact maintaintheir value -& to add insult to injury, now finding that the batteries are making the care useless in les than 5 years...wwwwhhatttt :0 , weren;t htey going to last forever & power or homes ...wht about the claims for a 1,000,000 km battery (but a SIGNIFICANT less warranty) now we know why

AND get this the electronics in the Telas FAIL very quickly & its not just a chips to replace its pull out of the entire dashbord to replace...currently .too scared to quote ..lol lol lol

"We’re used to short-term obsolescence with smartphones, but is it acceptable in cars? Would you be happy if the Tesla you paid six figures for five years ago is now immobile?

    Might have some teething problems.

We suspect not. But that’s the reality some early adopters are facing, as the very earliest models from the electric car manufacturer are losing their charging capability."

The chip is called the eMMC, installed on the car’s MCU1 (Media Control Unit) component. It’s the kind of temporary memory that other digital gadgets have. It writes, erases, and re-writes memory to assist with performing tasks.
In the case of Tesla, according to repairers, the eMMC is working overtime writing vehicle logs. With a finite number of writes available, these chips are being burnt out by the car’s consistent volume and speed of data-logging

So how much will you pay fora used Tesla????
