Tried to do some calcs earlier.
ADO has only put out numbers in mAh/g which isn’t much use without knowing the voltage of the battery, so I'll assume a standard cell voltage of 3.6V.Therefore, I'll consider the collaborator 8's "~130mAh/g" (another collaborator noted 500mAh/g increase in starting capacity) increase which is a whopping 0.468kWh/kg. To put that in perspective, in my calculations, Tesla's Powerwall manages ~14kWh of battery power or capacity of 0.36 kWh/kg.Now the details aren't clear enough to be make a determination if my assumptions above are are accurate, but in any case even if we manage a 50% increase, it's a huge breakthrough.
Note here also from Derek's mouth "the collaborator was quite surprised with the results, it surprised all of us". I think we're sitting on a gold mine if we can monetise this properly.
