If the Premier and her Environment Minister and DERM cant fairly apply published environmental guidelines in relation to drinking water quality then there may well be a tight case for legal action and compensation.
This whole matter can be quickly contexturalised in relation to water quality standards that have not been breeched yet have been used to shut Cougar down and have been misquoted by all in sundry journo's and media to defame Cougar ... $50 million would be nowhere near enough compensation imo.
If Cougar decide the sovereign risk of doing business is too great in Qld then they dont really have to be concerned with offending govt depts and officers ... and can go for the jugular imo.
