$2.7M sales for Arixtra is obviously tiny compared to US sales, but at least we might get an idea of what the royalty arrangements are outside US.
Unfortunately there seems to be at least 11 generic suppliers of enoxaparin in India, so it's unlikely a fonda generic will grab anticoagulant market share from Lovenox (or Clexane over there).
It's hard to see why GSK would counter with an AG for that size market.

the minimum we can get is 3000 shares.
Makes me wonder if Dr Reddy is benefiting more on sales of fonda outside US then why would ACL fork out equally on manufacturing improvement.

Of all the markets a pharma would be typically worried about, it's generic rip-offs in India...however, when your partner is one of the world's leading generic players and they happen to be Indian, I guess you'd feel a little safer that sales in India will be recorded somewhat accurately (one would hope ;-)

Nah even the min 3000 shares can be scaled back if they want sad to say.
Worse than the generics in India is the outright fakes and substitution and same throughout the 2nd world and Asia. The sales may be much higher in India as a % as like other companies have done in the USA in India DrReddys may have advantage with a large sales staff that can package it with other drugs. Problem for us is if they package it up and we cop all the discount on our product we get a vastly reduced profit margin and DrReddys gets the extra margin on the other drugs in the package deal. Great way to bleed a little Aussie partner into a early trade sale. Not a lot you an do but trust your partner and hope you have a watertight agreement. Hell we have paid more than our % of profit share and improved the process for the to take a very large %.

ACL revenue on Indian fonda sales will be by royalty, not % of profit. So it's irrelavent how Reddys arrange their profit allocation.

From 4 April announcement ????? Has the agreement been renegotiated?
There is a big difference between the 2 Wiki . Royalties are typically agreed upon as a percentage of gross or net revenues derived from the use of an asset or a fixed price per unit sold of an item of such,
"The Arixtra® brand achieved Indian sales of approximately U.S. $2.7 million for the year ended 31 December 2012.** Alchemia expects to receive 25% of all profits from sales in India, with the same economics from sales to any further territories outside the United States."

I just spoke with Link Market Services in relation to the share offer. I put the following scenario to them
I asked whether, if I only sent in $7500 requesting half of my allowable allocation and the offer is eventually scaled-back so people only get half of what they requested. Would I receive only one quarter or would I receive the full allocation as the $7500 would cover this. I was advised that I would receive my full allocation.
Is this consistent with what other people are being told? I don't want to miss out and I'm not sure how knowledgeable the call centre employees are.

rubbish.
it's not up to the registry who gets what allocation. it's up to the company.
if you want (the possibility) of a more accurate answer, then call the company. most companies will not tell you at this stage anyway. they may tell you after closing date.
with most issues of this type, everyone is scaled back equally, regardless of how much money they send in.
if you want the maximum allowable, then send in $15K.
with ACL's last SPP, they looked at how many shares you held on record date. see my post below.

Normally scaling policy is set after applications are received to ensure that someone hasn't set up 50 accounts of 101 shares each just to get the offer like what was done in days gone by. The ASX companies rarely preallocate a strategy as they always want the discretion to allocate how they feel fit depending on the shareholder mix that applies and how much they apply for. They can then bias it so small holders get more or larger holders get more. Unfortunately as there is no rights or options pro-rata on existing holding most people will be disappointed with what they end up getting.
Email / phone the company and ask what their allocation policy is and if it is set in stone. If it was set in stone it would have been in the offer document.
I have said it before and I'll say it again. It is a absolute scam that SI get to apply and then pay later only for their accepted application when smaller holders have to send in money and wait a month for the scraps. The company never finds out the full depth of money available and the SI have their shares to trade weeks before retail holders. A very slanted playing field Perhaps the should be forced to offer to retail first with a option and SI pick up teh scraps rather than introducing such short term money to keep brokers and SI happy like pigs rolling in cash our dilution.
Ask teh company in writing for their allocation policy

Yep companies can scale back how ever they feel.
Take a look at QBE's announcement of the 4th April 2012 to see what is possible. That one turned into some kind of right's issue almost. I had only a small holding, so that I could participate in the SPP discount, but ended up with next to nothing despite sending in $15k.
So you never know what might happen in any kind of scale back. They may even end up taking over subscriptions, although they obviously didn't last time. That may have been because of some pressure from somewhere else.

Well the ACL spp will soon be behind us, so then we can start to climb up. We have the quarterly figures this month, then the next lot of fonda figures. I'm hoping for a continual rise in fonda profits for a while yet.
As for HC, I don't like it much, but one needs to get used to it. When Comsec Protrader went to Irress, it took ages to get used to that. However I still preferred Protrader!

Seriously this raising is a joke and chickenfeed. It is a embarrassment for a company to stuff small holders suck a small allocation.
2mill with full allocation of $15000 is 133 holders get their fill of 50,000.
Neo do you seriously think looking at the shareholder spread that 133 people won't put in $15000 and hope to get a full allocation?
Like the last one was at 38.5 15/5/2012 from memory and was oversubscribed to hell and the scaleback was huge. I think it was 14000 out of 50000 applied for and the loss of the use of your money for 30 days so you got 25% approx of what you applied for.
Meanwhile back in the depth we have people churning fleecing smaller holders and in a month the price will amazingly pop it's head up.
Are we really worth 8.5c less than we were when we applied for the last issue 10 months ago?

No, however i don't' think it's going to be scaled back like it's been ramped on here.
Last time the scale back was around 47%, I applied for the full allocation( 15k) and got around 7k worth. Although the amount raised was 5 mil.
Last time though the SP was sitting around 30% higher than the offer price on allotment day, this time round the SP is only around 10% higher than the offer price, and could dip even lower tomorrow. After all the let downs this company has gone through, and with it's current lack of direction- I don't think the SPP is going to gather as much excitement as last time. There's no urgency to participle, since you can almost buy on market.

Dear Members,
It has been 4 days since our launch of the new HotCopper website. Unfortunately the testing we conducted prior to launch did not predict what would occur in the real environment. We managed to sort out the server/time out issues after 1 day but login problems continue to plague a huge % of members. These are primarily IE 7, 8, 9 and 10 users. Consequently we have made the decision to revert back to the old HC site later on today. We are unsure whether the last 4 days posts on the new site can be migrated back to the old site but will find out shortly. We apologise for the inconvenience but rather than stubbornly persist with a flawed package have decided to regroup and fix these ongoing issues. In the meantime you will all be able to enjoy the old HC for a few more months. Cheers

Congratulation Yoda....If other companies who'd changed their system had the balls to acknowledge their system had errors and reverted back to their old system until the new one was debugged they wouldn't have lost most of their customer ... a national banking firm leaps to mine. I give HC full credit for listening to their customers...well done.
AND no it's not an 'i told you so' comment...just recognition that I appreciate a company when it's not being stubborn.... a few Telco's could take note too.

Thanks for your support hippes. I imagine the word will spread like wildfire, but if necessary a mailout could happen. We've had a LOT of new members this week, higher than usual.
Yes, it's been a very long and trying week, and as non technical admin, we've had to watch while members couldn't access the site, and see new problems come in that hadn't been anticipated.
Nobody likes to make backward steps, but for the sake of harmony, as so many members can't access the site at all, even if many of them ARE old suspended users (!) this decision has had to be made. Plenty of sadness as many (33% at last count) have started to get used to the site already, but it wasn't the main issue for the decision.
Jako and Stu, you've been wonderful statesmen for the new site, helping other members along with a few other posters doing the same too, and we appreciate that (except when Stu's warped sense of humour upset everyone!)
We'll regroup and see you on the other side. It's a shame we'll lose a few days posts most likely, so maybe you'd like to copy the XJO threads for the day to carry back as we're obviously time poor in here.
In these 4 days I've learned a lot more about the new site myself under load, and really love SO many features of it, as do many others, but until we iron out hte critical issues, we have been given no choice but to take this one on the chin.
See you all back on the old site at the weekend.
Note to our new members this week:
If any of you have difficulty logging back into the original HotCopper later, at hotcopper.com.au please contact me on the support tab at bottom of page or [email protected] so that I can help your account to be brought over to the original site.

Ah well! I took it as a prompt to desist from IE8 [it was unsupported and was failing on so many counts anyway] and Chrome it from Tuesday. i rather liked most of the new features.
One thing I noticed was - several "NEW" members came on line from Tuesday, while many recalcitrant folk were screaming for the doors. Was this a result of the IP addresses [truncated] no longer being shown, and an opportunity to create duplicate memberships? Be interesting to review that info of these newbies in the Old/New/Old HC.
Any chance the IP address will be a feature in New/New HC?

Thank you Yoda, there were some really great attributes that this new site had, although I really miss my favorites page, where everything I wanted to know about was on the one page, that was my biggest gripe with this new setup, if you do sort the problems and do go back to this new site, could that be a must ( favorite shares page, streaming would be nice, but one where your favorites stayed for at least 4 hours or until a page was full and then drop of the oldest )
Thanks you to you and the whole team, and thanks for listening to our problems we were having, although some of the complaints were unwarranted I believe, some people just don't like change, for a free site you blokes do wonders.

Very disappointed to be going backwards. Especially after spending time "setting up"
I'm actually amazed people use IE.anything as a browser.
I think it would be much easier if people just moved over to a modern browser like Chrome. They would then also benefit from the extra speed and functionality on all their browsing.

Very disappointing to see the new site go and I will look forward to its return.
If you are going to make changes to the new site then my suggestions are to allow posts to be displayed/read and then replied to when 'Streaming' and to allow posts to be displayed/read and then replied to when in 'News Feed' and also when in 'Alerts'. These additions would make the new site very easy to use. If these cannot be done in two months then sometime in the future would be good.
Good luck with fixing the bugs (ie don't create any new ones).

Oh thank goodness!!! such good news...I lost money today trying because it is humanly impossible to properly interrogate an unknown to me stock in the time I would have had it done before.....as a power user during market hours when necessary using this setup is like being hamstrung.....and no way around it because it is the best it can do...love all the bling added and very amenable to the bling but when the core post display is a recognizable Canyonairo no matter what accessory's are bolted on or all over it can change the fact it's a Canyonairo to drive at the core...just ask Homer S.
Oh and please as I read above the threat as implied earlier that the core might come back again too....why?? it's a dog that hides all the good bones in different holes...I can see all the holes tops but need a crystal ball to guess which holes might holds the good-est bones.
So many analogies why the core is utterly stuffed....please please don't bring the core post view back otherwise the good users will decrease posting and the wanders who like the usefulness of flower arranging view sites never needed to use it properly/fully/power anyway.
Again hate the core love the bling....just add more bling to the same core display/access to posts/individual posters posts as the old HC had, this base software or the old one/whatever.

In reply to Yoda ...
Yoda I think your making a big mistake reverting to old HC. There are still issues with new HC and it is abit facebook ish, but after changing my browser to firefox and spending half the knight tinkering with it, its starting to make sense. I still prefer old HC, but sometimes you just gota bite the bullet, take the criticisim and make a stand. I know i changed my tune, but isn't that the point of free will!!! Good Luck
