It might be the case that these con artists never thought any of the shares they offered to buy would reach their buy price on the open market whilst the offer is still valid.
Everyone should check the details, and if AMP falls below $7.50, sell the shares to these grubs. (but make sure you check to see whether they're obliged to buy it off you at $7.50, or whether they have the right to refuse).
