Just tried it during a workout:
1 circuit=
Approx 400m run
10 push ups
15 squats
As many circuits as possible in 25 minutes. Normally do 9 and call it quits as feel I'm approaching a heart attack lol
wasn't aiming to break any records this morning as I didn't have a great sleep (new baby) and i just wanted to trial the device. I actually anticipated i would have to remove it at some point during the workout because i've never been able to do a full run breathing only through the nose and with this workout being more intense than a regular run I was guessing i would have to resort to mouth breathing at some point.
Well Im pleasantly surprised. Turbine stayed comfortably in the nose the whole workout and I managed to complete all 9 circuits breathing solely through the nose. Normally at lap 5 is when I really feel the exhaustion kick in but today I felt really comfortable the whole time. Recovery was extraordinarily quick also as sole nasal breathing kept the heart rate in check. Even finished in a decent time considering how unfit I was feeling before I started.
I'm sure it won't be long until we hear or see of some high profile sportsman/woman reaping the benefits of the turbine - that will be the tipping point.
