That article is about Incat's (Tas) big electric aluminium ferry with a Finnish propulsion system using Norwegian Corvus Dolphin 'Nextgen' battery systems. (pity we can't make anything on our own, but it's an impressive looking vessel)
I think they're modular lithium-Ion battery systems.
Bit of a stretch posting it under a thread called "Tetrataenite". Do you think tetrataenite might replace Li-ion in future? Seems unlikely for one-off builds like the one you have posted.
In any case, from what I have read, I doubt they'll ever be making tetra out of NPI from NIC, but dream on@Tera
