Given MNK's levels of indebtedness (~US$6bn of borrowings), it looks more like they are selling off businesses in order to keep their creditors at bay.
As for them "trying to move in the right direction", if you mean that involves partnering with MSB in some form, how do you think they might fund such a move, in the light of their challenged financial position?
