The ASX is traded electronically so there is nothing to stop it trading on a day when some states have a "public" holiday. People in NSW like me can trade an open market whether there's a holiday here or not. I just couldn't remember what has happened in the past .. but I think the ASX will be open. In which case the JV partners MUST release market sensitive info if it is "known" IMHO.
