I'm not so sure I'm all that keen on selling the management rights - isn't that the backbone of the company's revenue stream and future? Selling the management rights would effectively be shutting down the operating business?
Appreciate there appears still to be assets left if "only" a few of the high profile/value properties need to be sold to satisfy banks for longer term finance.
Would selling the management rights, not effectively make CNP a holding company owning properties and hence no real dividends except what's left over once opex and finance expenses paid. Which could be a small amount only?
Don't get me wrong $2 a share is very nice ...
