    Basically zero impact because Australian sandalwood harvests are pretty low in relative terms to where TFS is going. Although I guess you could argue that any reduction in harvest increases the supply/demand imbalance. But the marketing streams between TFS and Australian sandalwood growers doesn't have a lot of commonality, the industry is still pretty fragmented for the local variety. Australian sandalwood (Santalum spicatum) is a different species to Indian sandalwood (Santalum album) and has a lower oil yield with a longer growing time. S. spicatum also has a lower santalol content to the oil which is currently thought to lessen the therapeutic value (although yet to be categorically proven for all uses). Oil from S. album commands a much higher price. TFS actually did have a go at planting S. spicatum some years back to diversify their plantations, but failed to attract any investor interest in it.
