@Lies&damnlies thank you for taking the time to share your views & previous experiences with TFC SP, shorts & the combo (shorts starting with low TFC SP, high AUD then shorting the SP down whilst the AUD also falls)
I see that the shorts have pushed TFC up to No 3 on Shortmans top 100 list, notably higher than previously. TFC 3Yr Shorts
WRT the shorting of ACX & SP drop of +40%, could a similar correction happen with TFC & what might be the trigger point? (for ACX it was the high PE, & a news announcement of delays in business orders, & earnings visibility was not as baked-in as thought)
In 2016 I questioned the increase in shorts on the ACX forum, but groupthink won there
For disclosure I'm not shorting TFC, but have been following, & like the company & looking at a suitable entry point, but wary (after ACX & the current markets extreme SP reactions to any company news that has a hint of negativity).
