Was considering enrolling in the PARA_OA_012 study underway, and can now see why it takes so long to enlist people. It's onerous in terms of medical criteria, time involved with follow up visits after the injections have been completed. Forms, all sorts of other tests, including MRIs. Then there's the 45 days delay from the screening to receive the first injection, which answers some posters as to why no announcements yet on that score.
And you've got 50% chance of getting the good stuff and not the placebo. The other factor for me is I simply can't be around for the required 44 weeks from screening to completion.
So am looking at Hyaluronic acid (and maybe PRP) injections here in Thailand and then repeating the exercise next year in Sydney.
What is the experience with this treatment, recognising it ain't Zilosul. But does it help much? And will I be able to later have Zilosul, once approved?
I'm 73 in otherwise good health, and mother my knees with supplements, creams, exercises so I can continue to run 5kms twice a week. Been running for over 50 years and don't wish to stop now.
