Simply pointing out that eofy selling is actually a widespread phenomenon and that the concept of an SMSF is more widespread than your post indicated, no matter what its actually called. Weakness in US stocks into October is caused by the same event as ozzie stock weakness onto July or the Nikkei into April, etc, etc. I'd imagine the need to lock in losses/gains outweighs the volume to payout minimum SMSF drawdowns by a very long shot, but that's just an educated guess.
