This is a complete stir up by Thai Government to distract the negative sentiments toward government by its' people. Happened all the time around the world if you want to subdue negative sentiments toward goverment, the best way is to have an external enemy to uplift the natinalistic and patriotism of the country. Thatcher did it in Forkland war with Argentina when Thatcher government popularity at lowest because Coal Workers strike that clearly indicating Thatcher was to lose the election.
Don't worry, not going to affect the geo-political stability of the region. There might be sporadic cross border fire in the next few weeks than the two country will shake hand just the way it is since 1962 when UN granted the temple to Cambodian.
