Willingly gave me around half an hour of his time when I rang.

From my discussion, the procedure sounds very convincing and he'll direct you to the appropriate doctors.
Note: I had mild Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis which fortunately self corrected with alternative, less invasive treatment.
