I've been shaving with this Remington shaver for probably 15-20 years. It does a good job, but if I let the growth go unattended for a couple of days, I need to use the blade.
As.I sat here using Mr Remington in the last few minutes, I felt the need to delve into the history of electric shavers. For some reason unattributable to research I had it in my mind that Remington had invented the electric razor. Not so. That honour is probably buried in murky waters of the 20th century but Mr Schick is credited with having the first patent. However the origins of the Remington Rand Corp are more interesting in how they developed from Mr R as a sole proprietor in the early 19th century, then morphing into Remington & Sons and eventually merging as Remington Rand which of course was involved in manufacturing a huge range of machinery.
So, all in all, that was as good a way to waste another 20 minutes as anything more pressing.
