The article in the AFR today which I have skimmed over, has this part "(For the record, it is said Rio Tinto, Anglo-American and at least one Chinese buyer spent time looking over the numbers)"
Make what you will from it, but my interpretation is that they have crunched the numbers and found FMS is not part of their future. If a bid was to come, it would have come before the last day.
