"Yet Politicians are allowed to lie - remember that.". .. yet these people are supposed to be the most trusted in the nation hahahhe. why do they need to lie? is it because they can't construct a real critical analysis of a situation but need to score some political points so they merely dribble diarrhoea instead of reasoned argument?

the really needs to be a law to compel pollies to b truthful. we don't allow lies in advertising..... unless the advertiser is political, then they can lie as much as they like - where's the sense in that?
