this whole divvy conundrum only affects pensioners who are getting money from the taxpayer in entitlements and have a few bucks to invest in the share market rather than sticking it in the bank and those that have an SMSF which is only 15 % max tax rate anyway.

there is only 200,000 of them in total.

what you must remember is this- if you do not get a hand out from the government in the form of a pension or are not a SMSF pensioner, you will still get full benefits of franking credits.

as an example- if let's say crazypunter was working part- time and earned 20K a year, i would pay Zero tax. now let's say i had a share portfolio returning me 5% fully franked that equates to $20000.

i would still be able to get my full rebate as before under the Shorten plan.

ps- this is the whole problem. most journalists, accountants and other associate wombats want to talk this up as fake news because it helps to give them a hairy chest, including the 'other' persons-women, who tend to have breakout under their armpits.

    cheers crazypunter
