Do you think its strange the Chinese government runs advertising campaigns telling the population to buy gold.
What is the point?
China and Pakistan are using gold to purchase Oil from Iran and bypass sactions, that could be the reason for Chinas new found lust for gold.
This is upsetting the US because long term it will depreciate the USD. The only thing stopping the USD from falling is the EU crisis.
If my view is correct then gold has been overbought. I think $1000 usd is about right for gold because most of the hype started around that price.
Threatening the US currency is seen as a threat to national US security and the US will go to war.
