IMO, Aus still has an opportunity to manufacture specialist vehicles in the top end price range in low volumesuch as HD 4x4 for hot desert conditions ; military style units with no plastic shit @ say $200K/pop.
Not sure about the price tag but with the headlong rush to EVs in Europe [incl. UK], Asia and the US there will still be vast tracts of the globe unsuitable for them. Toyota, for various reasons, would be a good fit to be the manufacturer. Sth Africa liked our Commode.
