the Israelis are not the first to extract water from air it's a well known process - matter of fact your fridge does it 24hrs a day. It's just that so far, cheaper water has been available from conventional sources, but when water does become scarce you'll see lots of technologies able to provide domestic water from non-conventional sources. How the really big water consumers fare is another matter altogether.
