Yesterday I was in Myer just browsing. It was early afternoon on a subday and the place was practically empty. Saw a shirt that I quite liked and decided to try it on. Despite being one of only a few people in the store I still had to que for 15 mins as they have such a small number of fitting rooms.
I then went to pay. I was waved away from paying at the register because I was talking on my phone. There were no other people waiting to pay and the guy on the till was literally doing nothing else. He went back to standing still once he'd finished waving his hand at me.
Is it any wonder that Myer are struggling in the modern world when they not only make it difficult during the buying process for customers they actually refuse to take your money???!!!
It should be about making the experience fun and easy.
Wake up Bernie and get with the times or disappear down the plug hole.
