I have learnt a lot from those people too. HC is definately the best forum I have been to and reading HC is almost my daily task now..
I think in the short term price and volume can be explained by Demand and Supply. There is no distinctive patterns for short term movement, but in the long term the share price tends to follow the future EPS ( earning per share) of a company.
