I have to agree with StreetTalk and others, Westpac totally screwed up the trade today, and they actually stuffed up their own raising. Here's why.
The US markets are actually about 6% ahead of us, trading at the 50 day MA. Our market, and Westpac shares, just got over the 22 day MA yesterday. So the next stop for our market and Westpac was the 50 day MA, about 6% ahead.
It was obvious from the pre-open that we were set to rally at least 3%, and then along came Gail, and her idiot advisors. They are true idiots, because if they had waited a couple of days to a week, the Westpac share price would have been nearer $19, and the raising at a higher price.
I own Westpac, but I will be getting out no matter the loss, because they and their advisors have no clue what they are doing, particularly with regard to capital management for shareholders.
