One of the points was made by way of a clip from an old movie (Metropolis) about people getting owned by a machine and having to to go faster and faster to keep it going until it all exploded .
it perfectly illustrated my point (or so I thought ) and so I cited the relevant post and named the poster... (since christened The Cabbage) ......out of politeness.
and it acted like some kind of summoning spell and suddenly there was a banshee cabbage going off here about how bad NRW management was or something like that and it was pure chaos until I think

- I remember I ran away and hid in penitence and shame for wrecking the thread ...and the only good thing to come out of it was a little australian lizard called Moloch horridus - the thorny devil which went onto the unofficial mascot list. (moloch was the machine in the movie?)
Maybd there is an Australian owl that can be a new unofficial mascot ?
