.....you mistakenly understood that to be part of the explanation for the solution. What it was, in fact, were the parameters for the question itself.
Solve this question. Order of operations are waived for this riddle, and there are nofractions or negative numbers involved.As it turns out, your original answer was entirely correct. 2x1+6x6 = 48
Unfortunately, you can't arrive correctly at this answer without knowing the extra parameters which the OP didn't include, and which nobody had access to. Without them, I promise you that 2x1+6x6 will never equal 48.
As it stands, without the extra parameters, the OP's riddle is unsolvable.
