Shareholders won't be getting a cent back at all but the big fish in DML won't lose a cent as their money is securely locked in their trust fund even though the company itself is declared liquidation/bankruptcy. I trade in some international shares and if any of those companies declare liquidation, the government will force the big fish to fork out from their own pocket to compensate and minimise the loss of shareholders. I don't understand how this system in Australia can allow companies to close down so easily without any questions asked and take everyone's hard earn money like a piece of cake.
