    re: yid/snooker - that's ot!! war's over - every Hi Rem,

    Some good points you make.

There are some interesting stats out there on the oil situation, which countries are net importers, etc, etc, etc.

The point is, France and Russia's interest in Iraq is just as vested (if not more vested than that of the USA.

    And so too China's interest.

In this regard, just look at their current account deficit figures for January (largely oil driven), and the latest China Business from EIU shows clearly the growing dependency gap that China has in regards to oil. No wonder China wants a piece of the action and is also playing up in this game of geo-political intrigue.

Next stop on the bandwagon, however, will be China moving to shore up its South China Sea claims (as dubious as they have ever been), but entirely oil driven.

What is happening in Iraq and elsewhere is very much "our war" as well as that of the West (ie: the Coalition of the Willing).

Soon, however, the energy wars of tomorrow will come to our own backyard.

No wonder Bob Brown is so behind with the times. His head is still stuck up the roots of the trees that he so seemingly wants to protect.
