The other big thing i dont think people understand is the plant breeders rights. Cannabis compounds and formulas cant be patented like normal drugs because it is from a natural occurring source making pure research companies like ZLD possibly unprofitable considering there is 100 companies and universities doing research on MC and CBD oil for medical reasons and in 5 years when all the necessary clinical data has been gathered those companies will need to move on to other research or dissolve.

But PBR's allow you to make money from the different strains through licencing. Canndeo doesn't own the 6 PBR's (12 total in Oz) but is allowed to develop new ones from those sources which are low THC high CBD strains excellent for making CBD oil which right now will be the overwhelming majority of medical use. It isnt until recreational use is legalised that high THC strains will be profitable.
