I agree that effective market communication makes for a better informed, and therefore better motivated, investor.
Like other speculative market sectors, Bio sector boards generally have a poor reputation for using frivolous announcements to boost unsustainable interest in the stock, which often appear to have self-serving motives. I am wary of this approach, but realise there are good reasons why Boards can't tell everyone everything they are doing all the time. Things that are said cannot be unsaid - just ask the former Anteo CEO.
If the board and management build value in the fundamentals, it will be reflected in the sp over the medium to long term.
