Found a dead hare this morning not far from the back garden gate. I'm thinking a large dog though it might have been a fox. Didn't hear anything even though they usually scream. The head had been ripped off and the immediate entry area eaten out. An unusual kill I'd have thought. A fairly heavy carcass which is probably why it wasn't carried away.
