I would say the Green movement is driven by commercial interests and appealing mines is a major reason for their ongoing existence. When you are trying to build your brand and business you need to be seen to be a player and a force in your market. Scary thing is the NZ taxpayer and Bathurst shareholders are paying the marketing bill on this one.
