There is fake silver bullion out there. ".999" stamped on a lump of something only guarentees that it has ".999" stamped on it.
Why not look at coins? There is a premium, but that premium remains if you buy or sell. Perht Mint coins are widely recognised and admired and they are harder to fake than bar.
