Spoke with Perennial today, they are a very good company.
The numerical issue was not really a problem, the line states "purchased on market", but there was a bunch of other shares purchased for cash in a raising between 60c and 65c, and that cash component was not included in the line item.
I suppose on reflection, the problem may be the actual reporting form, it's not sufficiently flexible enough in format to allow for the inclusion of all categories.
Either way, everything was good, the shares were purchased from 60c to 65c, and they have continued to buy at the current prices as well.
Perennial were very friendly and informative and educational and professional to talk with, and I am greatly impressed with them.
We should end this thread now. It's been a part of my learning experience.
Let's move on to a new positive thread.
