The fact is that whenever a company rattles the tin like this they show no confidence in their companies value by dropping their pants. If they would have offered them at market price and thrown in an option of say 30c to exercise in 3 years they may have given the gamblers an incentive. They would then set themselves up in a few years time to be raising at 30c if the company did progress. My small holding didn't make the rights issue worthwhile. I just doubled up at 13.5.
