Some charts....
BHP should open and close strongly on Monday if the upbeat performance of US markets is a guide -- and it usually is.
Even the bearish Dr Robert McHugh believes the Dow has ended its sideways move and a multi-week uptrend is underway. Dow is above the magical 9000 and finally above the equally elusive 50-day moving average.
Certainly the Vix has retreated and continues to fall
In the US, BHP is nearing the upper end of indicators, which is not to say it cannot continue going up. However, the candle has touched the upper Bollinger (as has the Dow)...hopefully that does not indicate a slight retreat. It's broken resistance, just.
Here, there's more scope for upward momentum according to indicators. A a very bullish crossover of moving averages about to happen is a good sign.
