Our 12.8mill (4.3 mill) oz is still there. It will be mined.The area needs rehabilitation and who's going to pay for it? The SA govt? The illegal miners? The only way to rehabilitate it is to use mining revenue, so minim ng will happen.This sits very close to the CBD so value of land is high for commercial and residential. So SA would want this rehabilitated and earn some in the process.
