I hear what your saying @larrygerry, but in a way this has been government backed by the US Inflation Act. The Nickel and Cobalt is destined to go to the USA in particular by GM and LG to feed several Gigafactories .
They need Free Trade Agreement Nickel and Cobalt to qualify for tax breaks and for cars to receive $7500 Govt. subsidies.
Samsung has also just invested in a Canadian Nickel play for the same reason.
