Stories like this only tell half truths. A ten year teacher is going to be on north of $100 000. $55 an hour min. Much more if they climb the ladder.
You aren’t going to earn $65 base rate holding a traffic bat. The only way to earn $ 100 G is working in the middle of the night, weekends or a doing a shed full of overtime.
Of course there are the construction workers in the Melb CBD who earn plenty but they are only a handful. They are the ones that make the papers, conning people into believing all traffic controllers earn plenty.
