My career exposed me to a long list of personality & leadership assessment instruments.
They revealed that although some people end up at extreme points many end up relatively close to the centre. Such people are able to easily move & to cooperate with others but confuse & disturb people who are not able to do so.
No prizes for knowing where Tony Abbott is btw - as evidenced by his rejection by Brandt, Oakeshott & Windsor & by Abbott's subsequent confusion as to why they rejected him.
IMO Bob Katter may be closer to the centre than the media paints him - able to work with Kevin Rudd but less attracted to Julia Gillard & Tony Abbott. An enigmatic pollie I admire at times & with whom I despair at others. Someone who IMO correctly noted the disastrous impact of decades of loss of local manufacturing & who also saw the opportunities embedded in the NBN.
I wish we had Katter in Indi instead of our widely despised & totally ineffective, highly divisive current MP.
