Billy no-one is disputing how well the states have handled the Covid 19 outbreaks. Even the Victoria situation is nothing like the danger faced by other countries. It meant lockdowns, closed borders, mask wearing, positive messaging on social distancing and hygiene. That occurred very well and States basically did it their way with some variation in approach.

However, you well know that the next stage, namely, the vaccination program is the key responsibility of the Federal govt and that element has turned into a debacle. Thank heaven for the States having taken a tough approach to Covid and as a result we have some wriggle room, because if things had gotten out of hand the delay and uncertainties that have evolved around vaccines would have been disastrous for Australia.

When we are discussing a program to which the taxpayer is contributing billions of dollars, media and the Australian people are entitled to criticise deficiencies in the govts approach and delivery outcomes.

The govt told us that they had under promised and would over deliver on vaccines, however the opposite is true. The vaccines that we were told had been secured have not materialised. There is confusion over efficacy and secrecy in respect to the issue of Pfizer supplies and access versus the Astra Seneca vaccine.

That you persist in trying to whitewash the issue is an indicator in my opinion of the fact that you see the issue as one that is damaging to the govt you religiously support. The ABC and general media are doing the right thing in questioning the vaccination issue.
