What a refreshing change to have a PM with the intelligence, confidence, charm and respect for Australians appear on Barrie Cassidy's 'Insiders' program this morning and to actually respond meaningfully to probing questions.

After being boycotted by two previous male PMs, Cassidy's programs featured Nikki Savva, Phil Coorey and Laura Tingle. Today's discussions included tax reform, asylum seekers, TURC-ABCC, the prospect of a DD and Savva's upcoming book about our immediate former PM.

IMO Malcolm Turnbull was in full flight and the interview oozed hope and resolve for the May budget.

Turnbull explained that on tax reform Cabinet was still deliberating and working to engage with the community on how to give the economy a shot in the arm while delivering fairness [IMO the core value of all Aussie values]. Turnbull claimed that the situations of asylum seekers were being worked through case by case within the context of ensuring the people smuggler business model could not take advantage.

Turnbull spoke passionately of the need to better address problems within the union movement butu asserted that his talk of a possible DD wasn;t a 'threat' but the process as determined by the Consitution.

But the bombshell was Savva's comment about our former PM. She has written a book about Tony Abbott and Peta Credlin entitled; 'Road to Ruin'. It'll be released in mid-March. Given her comment on Insiders that Abbott is in a World of pain and should create a new life beyond Parliament, it may become a must read. It follows similar comments from other experienced investigative journalists including the article below by Coorey:
