Yeah not so sure about that, the American indian has similar problems, it seems the English had the same idea in America at the time. Im thinking they had good intentions setting up these dumps at the time, or else they thought eventually the people would die out but that wont happen whilst they are paid and fed to live in these places Where else are there examples like this in the western world.

You know what jobs there are in a remote community in Pilbara, or central australia or the kimberleys ...generally nothing, these people have no chance.
Now those in town camps are generally seperated from the rest of the population, the town camps around alice, darwin , katherine, Hedland etc etc... the kids are surrounded by parents and elders who dont have jobs etc, they know no better

The only communities that kind of function from what ive seen are the ones on the coast in north australia where they can fish ands hunt a bit, but then take a look at places like wadeye and blows that theory up

As long as you keep them seperate from multicultural australia and treat them differently they will act differently to everyone else

Consider if you picked up an aboriginal baby, brought them up in a good family in a place with opportunity that baby will have outcomes similar to the rest of society...or do think they wouldnt ?

So if the problem is they are being brought up with the worng culture and in the wrong surroundings then we need to change that..so how do we do that?

It curently cost approx 180k a year to run an aboriginal family of 4 on tax payers money...you could get the govt to build a house for them in a city of town at 1/4 the price they build them in the bush. The govt then charges them rent from that 180k a year, they get a chunk of money for food etc then the rest of the 180k is spent on mentors etc who help them move into modern times ie educate them, teach them to read and write, train them to get jobs etc...

    You got a better idea?

Current levels of children being "stolen " from their dysfunctional families is now at levels greater annually than almost the entire stolen generation and worsening, rates of incarceration are parabolic
